01Who we are

Heat Score Garage ("we", "us") runs heatscoregarage.com, the NFC Heat Score card and the car community that goes with it. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

02What we collect

• Account details — your email address, name and username when you sign up.
• Your build — car details, specs, build list, shop tags, social links, photos and videos you add to your page.
• Community activity — posts, likes, comments, saves, upvotes, event check-ins, votes and game scores.
• Photos sent to you — pictures other people submit to your page (only shown after you approve them).
• Orders — name, shipping address, email and order details when you buy a card. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Card taps & usage — tap counts, page views, last-active time and basic device/browser information to keep the site running and secure.
• Messages to us — feedback chats and appeal messages you send.

03How we use it

• To run your account, your car page and your NFC card.
• To show your public build, posts and Heat Score to the community.
• To process and ship orders, and email you your card code.
• To send notifications about likes, comments, upvotes, events and site updates.
• To keep the community safe — stopping spam, abuse and fake activity, and enforcing our rules.
• To improve the site based on feedback and usage.

04What's public

Your car page, build details, approved photos, Pit posts, comments, username and Heat Score are public and can be seen by anyone, including people who tap your card. Your email, shipping address and order details are never shown publicly.

05Who we share it with

• Stripe — to take payments and calculate tax.
• Our sign-in, hosting, storage and email providers — only to run the service for us.
• Shipping carriers — your name and address to deliver your card.
• Authorities — if the law requires it or to protect people's safety.
• We do not sell your personal information.

06How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. If your account is suspended, your content is hidden but kept so it can be restored after review. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

07Your choices & rights

• Edit or remove your build details, photos and posts any time from your Garage.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account.
• Turn off marketing emails at any time (order and account emails will still be sent).
• Depending on where you live (for example Canada under PIPEDA, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have extra rights — we'll honour them.

08Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We don't use them to sell ads.

09Kids

Heat Score Garage is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

10Security

We use encryption in transit, secure sign-in and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and let us know if something looks wrong.

11International users

We ship and serve members worldwide, so your information may be processed outside your country. We take steps to keep it protected wherever it is handled.

12Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. If we make important changes, we'll post a site update notification.
